Gaggenau × CRAMUM — “D’ENTRO” by Ingar Krauss: photography enters the refrigerator and transforms its interior.

MLE RADAR — ISSUE 04

ART BECOMES PART OF THE PROJECT

From art stored in a refrigerator to textiles that redefine space: four stories explore new intersections between art, design, hospitality, and architecture.

Art is increasingly venturing into areas that were not traditionally its domain. It is moving away from walls and exhibition spaces to become part of objects, interiors, hotels, and hospitality venues.

In this new issue of MLE RADAR, we’ve selected four stories in which art and design mutually transform each other’s language, creating unexpected connections between photography, gastronomy, the hospitality industry, design, and artisanal craftsmanship.

GAGGENAU — ART ENTERS THE REFRIGERATOR

Can a refrigerator become an exhibition space?

At Artissima 2026, Gaggenau presents D’ENTRO, the photography project by Ingar Krauss that brings art inside the Vario Expressive series refrigerators.

In this way, the photographs become part of one of the most functional objects in the home, transforming it into an unexpected display case. No longer just an appliance, but a space to be observed: the line between function, design, and art grows ever thinner.

Imàgo, Hassler Rome — The kitchen extends into the dining room and becomes part of the experience.

IMÀGO — WHEN THE KITCHEN MEETS THE DINING ROOM

At theHassler Roma, the restaurant Imàgo reimagines the relationship between the kitchen and the dining room.

The culinary experience is not confined to behind the scenes, but becomes part of the guest’s experience. Preparation, service, and storytelling all become part of the same scene, bridging the gap between those who create the dish and those who enjoy it.

A change that also reflects the evolution of hotel dining: fewer barriers between spaces, greater interaction.

L’Aventure Paris – Art and interior design come together to shape the identity of spaces.

L’AVENTURE PARIS — ART TAKES RESIDENCE AT THE HOTEL

In Paris, art isn’t just used as decoration in hotels.

L’Aventure Paris creates a dialogue between the artworks and the interiors, transforming hospitality spaces into places to explore and observe.

Paintings, photographs, and objects all contribute to creating the atmosphere and become part of the place’s identity. The hotel is no longer just a space: art becomes an integral part of the design and helps define its character.

Kieffer 4 – The textile design meets Bonacina’s artisanal expertise under the creative direction of Formafantasma.

KIEFFER 4 — CONTEMPORARY PATTERNS

With Kieffer 4, a textile brand byRubelli, the textile project developed under the creative direction of Formafantasma combines with the expertise of Bonacina.

Material, weave, and artisanal craftsmanship become tools in a creative exploration that looks to the contemporary without losing sight of the craft itself.

It is precisely at the intersection of design and craftsmanship that textiles take on a different role: not merely a covering, but an element capable of shaping space and altering our perception of it.

Not everything that happens.

Things worth keeping an eye on.
