Cristine Bedfor Sevilla: A Place’s Identity Is Built on the Details

Cristine Bedfor Sevilla reimagines a historic building by Aníbal González, transforming it into a boutique hotel where architecture, interior design, and atmosphere capture the most authentic essence of Seville.

Restoring a building means preserving its history. Giving it a contemporary identity without betraying its soul is a much more complex challenge. It is the challenge taken on by Cristine Bedfor Sevilla, a boutique hotel housed in a historic building designed in the early 20th century by Aníbal González, one of the leading figures of Sevillian regionalist architecture.

The renovation did not seek to turn the past into a stage set, but rather to create a dialogue between it and a new concept of hospitality. The patio, once the heart of the building, continues to organize the spaces, while light streams through porticos, galleries, and rooms, becoming an integral part of the experience. Nothing appears contrived: each space retains the building’s original character, reinterpreting it with a sense of naturalness.
