MLE Radar September 2026<\/strong> highlights three stories from the worlds of hospitality, travel, and design: Delano\u2019s Italian debut, the Cheetah Plains photo safari, and the new Torpedo table by Laurameroni.<\/p>\n\n

DELANO ARRIVES IN PUGLIA<\/h3>\n\n

The international hospitality industry is turning its attention to the Italian Mediterranean.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

Delano has chosen Puglia for its debut in Italy. The new hotel, scheduled to open in Monopoli in 2028<\/strong>, will be located along the Adriatic coast and will feature 76 rooms, including 13 suites<\/strong>, as well as spaces dedicated to dining, wellness, and socializing. <\/p>\n\n

The project interprets the brand’s aesthetic through bright spaces, a seamless transition between interior and exterior, and a palette of natural tones that harmonize with the Mediterranean landscape.<\/p>\n\n

More than just a new opening, this is yet another sign of how the landscape of international hospitality is changing, with Puglia emerging as the new hub of contemporary luxury.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

CHEETAH PLAINS: WHERE SAFARI MEETS ART<\/h3>\n

Photography, contemporary art, and the wilderness of Sabi Sand.<\/em><\/p>\n

At Cheetah Plains, in South Africa\u2019s Sabi Sand Nature Reserve<\/strong>, a safari also becomes an experience centered on imagery and art. The resort has introduced a new Private Photographic Safari<\/strong> led by nature photographer Fran\u00e7ois Fourie, designed to help guests connect with the wilderness through a more mindful and personal perspective. <\/p>\n

The project coincides with the renewal of the property\u2019s art collection, carried out in collaboration with Goodman Gallery<\/strong>, creating an unusual dialogue between photography, contemporary art, and the African landscape.<\/p>\n

A different way of experiencing a safari: not just observing nature, but making the act of looking part of the experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

TORPEDO: MATTER AND MEMORY<\/h3>\n

Italian automotive design reimagined by Maurizio Molini for Laurameroni.<\/em><\/p>\n

A free-form tabletop and two bases upholstered in ribbed leather<\/strong> define Torpedo, the new table designed by Maurizio Molini for Laurameroni<\/strong>. The vertical grain of the leather catches the light and adds rhythm to the surfaces, evoking the interiors of cars from the golden age of Italian design. <\/p>\n

Materials, craftsmanship, and memory thus come together in the same project, transforming a reference to the past into a contemporary language.<\/p>\n

An object in which the design does not merely evoke memory, but uses it as the very substance of the design.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
